Mr. Egide NSHIMIYUMUREMYI

Egide Nshimiyumuremyi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR). Before his current managerial role, he served as Treasurer Accountant at Rwanda Airports Company and as a Senior Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General, showcasing expertise in financial oversight, compliance, and strategic decision-making. 

Mrs. Esperance AKAMAHORO

Mrs. Esperance has more than 16 year’s extensive experience in different fields in the aviation industry where she worked with Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority and the Rwanda Airports Company Ltd.

She is the Manager of Internal audit her role is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve RAC’s operations, management, internal control and to minimize risks.

Previously she worked for RCAA and RAC for the past 10years as the Manager of Business development and marketing, where she was assigned to development of Airport Business, route development, Airport Commercial, Marketing Airport and route development. She has also worked in RAC as customer care Manager where she was assigned to passenger handling and facilitation at the airport. She has also worked in RCAA in Finance and in the internal audit departments.

She has a proven track record in dealing with the negotiation and interpersonal client relationship building skills, skills in preparation of international aviation conferences and meetings and financial skills.

Ms. Justine BABIRYE

Justine Babirye is the Manager for Planning at Rwanda Airports Company. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Makerere University, Uganda and has over 15 years of experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

Justine has worked with Rwanda’s Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement and the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, specializing in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and gender promotion.

Since 2024, she has applied her expertise to improve organizational effectiveness at Rwanda Airports Company.

Mr. Leon NKURUNZIZA

Nkurunziza Leon, Kamembe Airport Manager, has over 30 years of aviation experience, having served at Régie des Aéroports du Rwanda, Civil Aviation Authority, Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority, and Rwanda Airports Company. He ensures safe and efficient airport operations. Previously, he worked as an airport security officer, air traffic control officer, and licensing officer, managing passenger safety, air traffic flow, and security operations. He played a key role in Kamembe Airport's development, including runway resurfacing and facility upgrades. Leon holds a Bachelor's in Social Sciences (Civil Aviation Management), a Diploma in Airport Security, and certifications in airport operations and aviation fields.

Mr. Serge NZABAKIZA

Serge Nzabakiza has been managing the Engineering Unit at Rwanda Airports Company (RAC) since October 2020. Previously, he led the Engineering and Maintenance Department and worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA). With over 14 years of experience, he has overseen major airport infrastructure projects, including the expansion and modernization of Kigali International Airport, aerodromes, and airstrips to ensure compliance with international standards.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the former Kigali Institute of Science and Technology and has completed various trainings in aviation, airport development, and maintenance. Serge is committed to supporting RAC’s mission and growth.

Mr. Ngabo Bongayi KIZITO

Ngabo Bongayi Kizito is currently the Advisor to the Managing Director and Manager of Gisenyi Aerodrome and Airstrips. He is a licenced Air Traffic Controller, with vast knowledge in Air Navigation Services. He holds several Air Traffic Management (ATM) ratings as:- Aerodrome control, Approach procedural control, Approach Radar control, Area Airways/Procedure control and Area Radar control. He served as an Air Traffic Controller from 2003 to 2009 and the manager Air Traffic Management (ATM) from 2010 to 2019. He is an Instructor and Examiner of English Language Proficiency (ELP).

He has trainings in other Aviation related disciplines including, Remotely Piloted Aircraft - Aerial Systems and Systems Requirement, Accident and Incident Investigation, Air Traffic Services - Quality assurance (ATS QA), Safety Management System (SMS), Aeronautical Search and Rescue, Human factors, Aviation Leadership, Civil Aviation Compliance – ICAO SARPs, Flight Information processing system, Airport Certification, aerodrome licencing and Infrastructure standards, Aerodrome Safety and Certification, Runway Safety, safety operations in Air Traffic Management, Airports Operations Management and Management of Strategic Change in Aviation

He played an active role in enhancing regional and global aviation initiatives as an Air Navigation Services (ANS) Expert for the Regional Economic Community projects such as EAC’s Unified Upper Flight Information Region ( UFIR) Project and the Northern Corridor Initiative   (NCIP) Projects. He Served as the Northern Corridor Initiative Projects (NCIP) Skills Auditor’s ANS Expert, and Team Member in the Northern Corridor Integration Projects (NCIP) Regional Consortium of Universities, responsible for Airspace Management.

Ngabo Bongayi Kizito holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Law (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda. He is the Author of the Book entittled “The Crime of Direct Contempt and its Repression under Rwandan Law”, that assess the rights of the accused during the prosecution of direct contempt from a Rwandan law perspective, highlighting inconveniences of the foregoing proceedings and the need for effective solutions thereof.

His passion and energy to drive aviation innovations and Airport operational efficiency is eminent.

Mr. Innocent KAMARADE

Innocent Kamarade has been the Procurement Manager at Rwanda Airports Company Ltd since November 2024. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Logistics Management and a Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS Level 4).

With over nine years of experience in procurement for donor-funded projects, he previously served as a Procurement Specialist at Rwanda Environment Management Authority (2020–2024) and Rwanda Revenue Authority (2018–2020). Before that, he was a Procurement Officer at the Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA) from 2015 to 2018.

Captain (Rtd) Charles NKUBITO

Captain Nkubito is the Manager of Aviation Security at the Rwanda Airports Company.

He has over 15 years of experience in airport operations management, security, and safety.

He previously worked as the chief operations manager with the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) in Gisenyi and Ruhengeri Aerodromes, where he played a significant role in the airport's extension and expropriation Projects.

Before this, he was an air force officer in the Rwanda Defense Forces, serving in various capacities.

Captain (Rtd) Nkubito holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration(BBA) from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali(UNILAK) and various certificates from different aviation schools.
